The Department for Legal Aid and Protection of Mexican Nationals can provide support to Mexican Nationals in need of Medical Assistance. 

If you know of a Mexican person who is ill or hospitalized, please contact Pablo Vinageras at (212) 217-6432




Requirements to Transport an ill person to Mexico:
The Social Worker at the medical facility must submit the patient's diagnosis and clinical chart via fax to this Consulate General, at (212) 217-6438, whether it be in English or Spanish
Submission of documents that identify the patient's nationality, as well as contact information (phone number and address) of the patient's relatives in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut, plus contact information of relatives in the patient's place of origin
The Department for Legal Aid and Protection of Mexican Nationals will proceed to send these documents to the Ministry of Foreign Relations of Mexico, in order to locate the most suitable medical facility in Mexico to continue medical treatment.
This process takes from 2 to 3 weeks.
